A Digital Artefact Deep Dive
For my BCM112 digital artefact, I’m building on CamperYachties, a personal brand my partner, Brad, and I created. We met working on superyachts and now balance life’s extremes—living in Wollongong while travelling in our van. Despite having 1,800 followers and strong content, our page hasn’t grown as expected, so I’m diving into why.
To test this, I’ve set a daily task to engage with at least ten profiles and track any traction gained. I’ve also started posting on TikTok alongside Instagram, though I haven’t yet figured out how to automate cross-posting. Already, this project is pushing me out of my comfort zone—forcing me to actually launch something, experiment, and learn. As Hasso Plattner, Institute of Design, states, “Build to think and test to learn” (Plattner 2010, p. 5). This mindset is shaping my approach.
