I’m Mikaela San Giorgio, a first-year Communications and Media student at the University of Wollongong.
At 18, I left Melbourne to work on superyachts, spending five incredible years traveling through Europe, the Mediterranean, Asia, and Australia. Life at sea was an adventure—waking up in a new country, working on luxury vessels, and experiencing places in a way that few get to. Along the way, I developed a passion for storytelling, capturing the moments that made this lifestyle so unique.
Now, I’ve traded ocean life for Wollongong, where I’ve settled with my partner, Brad. As I dive into this degree, I’m exploring what comes next—whether that’s in media, travel, or something unexpected.
